CABLE CONNECTION AND LOROM ANNOUNCE A PRIVATE JOINT VENTURE, CREATING A GLOBAL SOLUTION FOR CABLE, WIRE HARNESS AND PCB PRODUCTS

Combined company allows advanced engineering for small-volume domestic prototyping with seamless ramp to high-volume, cost-effective international production

FREMONT, Calif., and CHINA (July 20, 2009) ¡V Cable Connection, a premier manufacturer of custom cables, wire harnesses and PCB and Lorom Industrial Co., Ltd., a globally-recognized preferred supplier of high quality OEM/ODM products today announced a new private joint venture, creating one of the largest global providers of custom cables, wire harnesses, PCB, PCBA, and turnkey solutions.

Under the new joint venture agreement, Cable Connection will become Lorom West, a sales, engineering, and domestic manufacturing arm for Lorom. Lorom West will support Lorom's customer-base in the US by providing front-line engineering, prototyping, and short-run production. Lorom Industrial, will integrate volume production from their factories in China and India.

The new venture delivers some distinct business advantages to the companies and their combined customer base including:

  Access to state-of-the-art, cost-effective, high-volume engineering, manufacturing and production of a diverse set of products in the Lorom facilities in China and India

  Complete domestic prototyping and engineering of cables, wire harnesses and PCBs in the Fremont, CA facility

 Ability to seamlessly transition projects from engineering prototype to volume production within the same company, using the same engineering resources and creating the best end-product available

 Unique value proposition coupling the robust manufacturing capabilities of Lorom Industrial, with the personalized domestic service provided by Cable Connection.
